Question 1

How do I join a club?

Accepted Answer

Use the Find a Supporters Club page to locate your nearest official club. Each listing has a 'Join or get in touch' button that opens a short form. Your details go straight to the club organiser, who'll be in touch with meeting times, membership and how to get involved.

Question 2

What if there's no club near me?

Accepted Answer

If you can't find a club within reasonable travelling distance, you can apply to start one. We provide guidance, branding support and a listing on this site. It doesn't cost anything to set up — just a willing organiser and a group of local Town supporters.

Question 3

What makes a club official?

Accepted Answer

An official club is recognised by Ipswich Town FC. It has a named organiser, follows the Supporters Club Charter, agrees to our Code of Conduct and safeguarding expectations, and uses approved club branding. Official clubs are listed here and receive ongoing support from our supporter services team.

Question 4

Who runs a club?

Accepted Answer

Each club is run by a volunteer organiser — usually a local supporter who steps up to coordinate meet-ups, away travel and communications. The club doesn't run clubs directly; we support organisers with guidance, policies and a direct line to supporter services.

Question 5

How do I contact supporter services?

Accepted Answer

For questions about clubs, policies or applications, email supporter services via the main Ipswich Town FC website. We aim to respond within five working days. For club-specific queries — meeting times, membership subs, local events — contact the club organiser directly through their listing page.

Question 6

How do I become a club organiser?

Accepted Answer

If a club already exists near you, reach out to the current organiser and offer to help. If there isn't one, apply to start a club via the Start a Supporters Club page. You'll need to agree to the Code of Conduct, safeguarding expectations and branding guidelines before approval.

Question 7

What support does the club provide?

Accepted Answer

Approved clubs receive a listing on this site, access to programme communications, guidance on events and safeguarding, and a direct contact in the supporter services team. We also share club news, imagery and branding assets you can use for your club materials.

Question 8

How often should our club meet?

Accepted Answer

There's no fixed rule. Most active clubs meet for every home match and organise at least a few away trips or socials each season. What matters is consistency — members should know when and where to find you. Update your club page if regular meeting times change.

Question 9

Can we raise money for charity or the Foundation?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Many clubs run fundraisers, raffles and charity matchdays for the Ipswich Town Foundation or local causes. Just make sure any fundraising follows UK legal requirements and your club's own constitution. We're always happy to shout about great work in our News & Stories section.

Question 10

What happens if our organiser steps down?

Accepted Answer

Let supporter services know as soon as possible. We'll help you transition smoothly — whether that's finding a new organiser from within the club, temporarily suspending the listing, or supporting a handover. The goal is to keep the local Town community connected.

Question 11

Where do I find the latest policies and branding?

Accepted Answer

All current documents are on the Policies & Documents page. This includes the Charter, Code of Conduct, Safeguarding Policy, Branding & Identity Guidelines and the Data & Privacy Notice. Check back before each season — we review and update policies regularly.
